Design Concept: Ice wedding

I recently had a night out at the Ice Bar in London, it was great.. you have to wear these 'designer capes' which are fur trimmed and just so cute ...well it got me thinking about an ice/ snow themed wedding.

The bride will arrive in what else but ... a sleigh pulled by husky's.

A winter wonderland ceremony room, white trees, crystals and pools of blue light. the bride wears a stunning coat and muff by Justine Horrocks , the most amazing shoes by Aruna Seth topped off with a glittering tiara by Harriet. The Groom will rock a coat too this amazing outfit is by Parisian designer Vincent Schopher and the awesome button hole is by erica cavanagh on the fabulousness that is etsy.

The reception will start with vodka cocktails served in Ice glasses, the decorations will continue on the same theme as the ceremony room. I imagine everyone dancing till dawn as the music will be by some unspeakable cool (excuse the pun) DJ.

DIY Bridal Make up- Bare Escentuals Mineral Make up

Bare Escentuals 6 Piece Glamorista collection

I have recently been asked to look into DIY bridal make-up that won't break the bank. My recommendation is mineral make up which is all the rage at the moment giving you a flawless face that is so pure you can even sleep in it; the original and the best is Bare Escentuals. I recently purchased this amazing kit called ‘Glamorista collection’ that pretty much sorts out big day make up. The collection contains, foundation, blusher, two eyeshadows, mascara and a lip pumping lip gloss. The beauty of Bare Escentuals eyeshadows is that they are so versatile, wet them and they taken on a deeper tone so they can even double up as an eyeliner. The foundation even doubles up as a concealer/ under eye concealer if you put it on with a small precise brush.

All you need to add is Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil, their brow colour and maybe a lipstick.. and you will be good to go and all for under £100.

This design concept images the ultimate princess, a pallet of Crisp white, accented by diamonds. Luxury at every turn. Image bespoke stationary by Smythson. A ball gown to dance till midnight in; Samantha by Sassi Holford. Glass Slippers (ok bling slippers)by the modern girls fairy shoe mother Christian Louboutin. A truly amazing Tiara by the star that is Andrew Prince. Transportation...horse drawn Carriage darling, Scrummy cake by Peggy Porschen...your man dressed in Chanel’s take on the Prince look. A reception bedecked with Crystal candelabras and white roses to match your bouquet.

And were to have it all... well where else but a Castle (castle Venlaw to be precise)!!

Design Concept: Enchanted Garden

Summer is supposedly just around the conner, and I got all inspired by www.ladybirdbeads.co.uk magical 'Queen of the Fairy's' tiara and created an enchanted garden themed wedding around it. The colour scheme is taken from the tiara it's self; red, emerald green and sky-blue. The feel of the day would be relaxed, intimate, fun but elegant. The ceremony and reception would be held in a secret flower filled garden. Lighting would be important, candles in jars lighting routes, fairy lights in trees and decorating the covered dance floor. The bride would look entrancing, in this glamours emerald green Roberto Cavalli gown teamed with a long veil and of course the tiara.Guests would sip champagne, play garden games and all will dance till the early hours of the morning in the warm night air. After it all every one would feel like they had awoken from a wonderful dream.

Design Concept: Burnt Orange

Picture credits: Martha Stewart, the Knot, Monsoon, The Star Alfriston.

I am currently in the process of planning an autumn wedding in Eastbourne which I am super excited about. Over the coming months I will be sharing with you my thoughts of this wedding but as with every wedding my starting point in the design concept. For this wedding the bride has been quite adamant that the colour theme is burnt orange with touches of gold and I could not think of a more fitting colour theme for an autumn wedding. You will find below my orange design concept.
